8 August 2006 - International private equity firm, Beringea, announced today that it has agreed terms for the sale of portfolio company Mergermarket to the Financial Times Group, a subsidiary of Pearson plc, the global media company. The sale is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to complete in Q3 2006 and will generate a total return of 14x the original investment for Beringea and an IRR of 69%.

ProVen Growth & Income VCT closes 'C' share issue at £25 million

5 April 2006 - ProVen Growth & Income VCT (PGI VCT), the VCT managed by Beringea, yesterday closed its 'C' share offer a day early having reached its £25 million limit. The offer, which was launched in November 2005, has commitments from nearly 2,000 investors.

27 February 2006 - Beringea, the private equity fund manager which manages ProVen VCT and ProVen Growth & Income VCT (PGI VCT), announced today that it has made a follow-on investment in Espresso Broadband Ltd., the leading provider of educational broadband content in the UK. The two funds have committed an additional £950,000 to part-finance Espresso's acquisition of Netmedia Education, the market leader in the development of web-based learning environments.
